Are you superstitious?
I say something about knocking on wood probably every other day, and yeah I will definitely find solid wood somewhere around me and knock on it for good measure. As far as crossing paths with a black cat, well I currently live with one. So the whole black cat superstition doesn’t phase me.
To each their own I suppose. If I spill salt I will absolutely throw some over my shoulder. I’ve had a time where a bird was just in my house and we have no idea where it came from, but that’s more about bad omens. I didn’t die after the bird appeared in my house either, so who knows about that one.
Superstition comes from folklore, and from people needing to be able to explain the unexplained. That’s another aspect where always needing to have control, or some sort of explanation comes in. There’s many things I believe, and some others may not.
I love supernatural, all things Magickal and mystical. I enjoy thinking of magic existing. Why not anyways? I couldn’t imagine living in my life without having belief in something. I use books as a way to escape reality, and the thought of not having a fantasy world or thriller to read is a scary thought for me. Being a human can be a scary thing all in itself.
