How do you want to retire?
I want to retire just being completely content with myself and where I’m at with my life. Even though retiring to a luxurious lifestyle does sound very nice, it sounds even nicer to be happy with who I am all around as a person. I feel as though day by day I continue to get farther to this point.
It’s not about showing off to everyone around me, but showing off to myself. One of the things I need to work on is my self-care. Working on turning off work mode. Working on my habits and routines, and really dedicating my all to my self-love. It’s been a bit since I dedicated my time to writing. I need to get back into writing every day again.
Sometimes it’s hard to dedicate time to yourself when you have two full-time jobs. In my case being a mom and working full-time in a domestic violence crisis agency. My hands are definitely full and I tire out fast with kiddos at home. Sometimes I forget how important it is to take care of me.
How can one simply pour from an empty glass? They can’t. It’s impossible. Remember to take care of yourself this week. You’re a priority.
